Tuesday, November 9, students in kindergarten, GS and CP went to visit the museum located at MANOLI Richardais. As part of the school project on sculpture, so we chose to visit the museum of this metal sculptor but also granite, ceramic. Pierre Manoli was nicknamed the man of fire as he carved all his works with a tool: the torch.
There are many elements of nature through his work: birds, sheep, cats, owls, the eagle, the tree, the sun, as well as mobile representative men in flight or the magnificent sculpture of trapeze leaving us perplexed when the center of gravity!
The children were very interested in each of his works, inspired by the very meaning of each of them ...
We finished our outing with a picnic at the Richardais then a ride to the seaside
